On April 29 and 30, 2024, the classrooms of Mindeltal Schule turned into buzzing centers of innovation as students took part in MileSteam’s hands-on Drone and 3D Printing Training, delivered by tech experts from EMM IT.
Over the course of two exciting days, students explored the fundamentals of 3D design and brought their ideas to life using 3D printers. They also got a chance to safely operate drones, learning about flight dynamics, control systems, and real-world applications of drone technology through guided exercises.
For many students—especially those from underrepresented communities—this was their very first experience with these technologies. It opened their eyes to new possibilities and sparked their interest in tech-driven careers.
“I didn’t know I could actually make something real with a printer. Now I want to design my own phone case at home,” said one of the participating students, proudly holding up their first 3D-printed creation.
Ahmet, one of the trainers from EMM IT, was impressed by the students’ curiosity and engagement: “You could see their mindset shift in real time. Once they realized these tools are not just for experts, they started thinking like creators—and that’s what this is all about.”
The training reflected the core of MileSteam’s mission: to empower and inspire the next generation of innovators by giving them access to real-world technology and skills.
