On May 6 and 7, 2024, the Mindeltal Schule once again became a center of innovation as students took part in MileSteam’s Coding and Robotics Training, delivered by the passionate instructors from CODE MIT.

During the two-day workshop, students got hands-on experience with the basics of coding, using intuitive platforms to build their own simple programs. They also explored robotics, learning how to control and program small robots to perform tasks, solve challenges, and interact with their environment.

For many students, this was their first time writing code or seeing a robot respond to their commands. The sessions weren’t just about tech—they were about problem-solving, logical thinking, and building confidence in their own ability to create and experiment.

“At first it looked really complicated, but when my robot started moving the way I told it to—it just clicked,” shared one student after completing a coding challenge.

A trainer from CODE MIT reflected on the experience: “These students picked up the concepts incredibly fast. Once they realized coding is just another way of thinking, they started approaching challenges like real engineers.”

This training is part of MileSteam’s ongoing mission to break down barriers to tech education and ignite a passion for STEM in young minds—especially those who might not otherwise have access to these opportunities.
